The Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) was established in 1997 on the basis of the Psychological Institute (founded in 1912)- the first in Russia and third in Europe. Today the Psychological Institution of the Russian Academy of Education and MSUPE have been combined into a single research and educational complex "Psychology."

"The whole psychology is in one university” – the MSUPE is being talked about. In 2012 PI RAE will celebrate the 100d anniversary.

13 Faculties of MSUPE train in the following areas: Psychology of Education, Social, Clinical and Special Psychology, Psychological Counseling, Legal and Extremely Psychology, Social Pedagogy, Management, Intercultural Communication, etc.

MSUPE offers different educational courses on Bachelors’ Programs, Specialists’, Masters’, PhD and Doctors’ Programs.

MSUPE includes 44 research laboratories, 27 psychological and research centers, especially the Centre of Experimental Psychology, the Center for emergency psychological assistance, the Center of Graduate Education for Young Psychologists-Pedagogues, The Center of game and toy, Institute of Integrative (inclusive) education, the Center of Neuro-Cognitive Research, the University Child's Center and etc.

MSUPE actively cooperates with foreign partners with the aim to improve educational process, create a common education space, improve the quality of training specialists, and conduct joint research. 52 agreements with partner institutions have been signed; joint Master’s programs are being implemented (together with the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), the Plovdiv University “Paisii Khilendarski” (Bulgaria), the University of Neuchatel (Switzerland), and the University of Oulu (Finland)).

MSUPE has good reason to be proud of its higher-education teaching personnel, basically consisting of scientists psychologists from the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education. Among them are 140 Doctors of Science and 293 PhDs, full members and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Science and the Russian Academy of Education, RF President and RF Government award winners in Education.

The University prepares highly qualified specialists that are in demand in social sector, government and commercial institutions as evidenced by the growing enrollment competition.

In a relatively short period of MSUPE existence it gained a reputation as a highly professional institution of higher education and became a full member of the professional education community both in Russia and abroad.

Training in MSUPE is organized in Russian language.
Education fee depends on chosen faculty and course (from $3500 per year).
