Doctoral Training Program of MSUPE

In 2009 on the Order of Federal Education Agency the Doctoral Training Program was set up in MSUPE for the following specialties:

Social psychology (19.00.05)
Development psychology, ackmelogy (19.00.13)

Applicancy

Admission to the Doctoral training program is available for candidates of sciences with scientific achievements in the corresponding sphere of knowledge, having shown their worth in scientific and pedagogical area, and able to carry out fundamental, investigative and applied research in accordance with the current classification of specialties in scientific research.

Admission of applications to the budget funded Doctoral training program is carried out in September and October, to the non-budgetary Doctoral training program – all year round.

The Doctoral training program for full time student last for not more than 3 years. The Doctoral training program for applicancy students cannot exceed 4 years.
To provide assistance to students of the Doctoral training program in carrying out their research the academic advisers from among knowledgeable specialists (full doctors, members and corresponding members of Russian academy of Education) are provided to them on the order of the Rector of MSUPE.

The MSUPE Library holds a vast library stock of scientific and applied practice related literature, electronic data base including publications of Russian and foreign authors, dissertations in various fields of psychology.

Students of the Doctoral training program have an opportunity to publish the results of their studies in 10 University journals issued on a regular basis (5 of them are in the list of editions recommended by the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles).

The University holds several Dissertation Councils for candidate and doctor degrees’ defenses (specialties 19.00.05, 19.00.06, 19.00.10, 13.00.02).
